When students read with meaning and with a purpose they will be more likely to understand and comprehend what they are reading. Free Songs for Teaching and Learning

One of the best and most effective ways to engage students is with music and movement. I just finished a training at my school regarding Kagan structures. Dr. Spencer Kagan has over 50 years of experience with cooperative learning and brain-based learning techniques. Using Kagan structures in the classroom means implementing Class Builders, Team Builders, Energizers, and Brain Breaks.Below are some free educational songs from HaveFunTeaching.com that you can use with Whole Group, Small Group, or Independent learning that will engage your students and get them motivated to learn!

Language Arts Songs


  • The Verb Rap Song - Song that teaches students that a Verb is and Action Word. This song gets the kids moving and is very active.

  • The Adjective Song - Song that teaches students that an Adjective Describes a noun. This song uses your five senses as a way to learn describing words.
